Our pet sitters don’t operate like a traditional dog day care centre – instead, you can choose the individual pet sitter who will be providing one-on-one dog day care services for your furry friend. Does your dog not get along with other dogs? Arrange dog day care with a pet sitter that only takes in single bookings at a time. Alternatively, your dog can make new friends during doggy day care – but usually only a maximum of 2 or 3 dogs at a time.

As mentioned above, puppies respond well to positive-reinforcement based training. It is important to acknowledge that dogs cannot possibly know which behaviours are right and which are wrong - it will be up to you to teach them. Take the time to show your puppy what you want them to do and reward them with a treat, praise, or a game each time they do the right thing.

When it is time to sleep, does your dog pick a comfy spot and drift carefree into his dreams of chasing squirrels or eating bacon? A happy, relaxed dog will sleep well. Stressed dogs wake up, get up, pick a new spot, fall asleep and then repeat. They are not relaxed enough to get into a deep sleep, which could cause health troubles. Talk to a vet and/or a dog trainer about how to get your dog relaxed and happy so he can sleep well.
Our dog Luna goes to Happy Dogs usually about 3 days a week. She loves it 🙂 Everyone there is professional and genuinely seems to care about all the dogs. She had a great time playing and when I ask her if she wants to go play with her friends, she always perks up and jumps in the car. I like that I can bring food for her each day - since she eats special food - and they are always good about giving me the leftovers (its expensive!) Thanks guys for giving Luna a fun "home away from home".
Most poisoning of dogs is accidental. Garden poisons, such as snail baits, are the main cause. If your dog is known to eat just about anything, then be particularly careful to store poisons where they will not be accessible to him. Dogs found foaming at the mouth, with muscle tremors or staggering gait, or unable to stand, should receive immediate veterinary treatment.
We’ve had the worst luck ever trying to find a new groomer for our Saint Bernard after his previous one retired. Nobody would do a dog his size, but happy dogs was more than up for the challenge! Despite being a stubborn boy and quite the challenge, they got him looking like a whole new dog! I’ve never seen him look this good and you can just tell he feels 100 times better! Thank you Happy Dogs!
Ideally, dogs should be taken to council-designated areas where they can be safely let off the leash to run free. It is important to use these specifically designated areas not only to ensure their own safety (preventing the risk of being hit by a car) but also the safety of farm livestock and wildlife which can be threatened by a dog let loose in their habitat.
